I had Scott as my General Contractor for the finishing of my basement in 2019. I can’t say enough great things about him. He had our project itemized and properly planned. With any project it is expected to have some surprises and/or set backs but, not with Scott. We finished on time and and on budget within five percent of planned. We had him install one bedroom, a bar area, a bathroom complete with a steam shower and sauna, and a family space for entertaining. 

Scott’s attention to detail and management of the sub contractors was very professional. We hardly knew anyone was in our basement working. The dust and debris was kept very low and barely noticeable. 

As for Scott’s skill at wood working, it is not comparable to anyone else’s work. Superb craftsmanship and quality is what he provides right down to the last cut. He is the best at what he does. 

Overall I would recommend Scott to anyone who is finishing their basement or whom wants update their home. You will not be disappointed. We absolutely love our finished product.

We hired Scott to finish our unfinished basement. When we started the project, we had a vision of how we would like the completed project to look. After our initial meeting with Scott, we knew that Armitage Homes was the perfect company to help us make this vision a reality.  We'd been planning our kitchen remodel for years. I had a very deep relationship with the Houzz app and had curated my wish list for our 1969 rambler kitchen that hadn't really been updated since the early 90s. We knew many of the parts and pieces, but were still spinning on the final design. We knew two things for sure; we wanted walls removed and we wanted a modern design that allowed us to entertain large groups. As we started the process, we had a number of contractors come in, all of whom had wildly different approaches to removing the wall and some telling us it wouldn't even be possible. At that point, our friends suggested we call Scott. They'd had some work done on their kitchen and were wildly happy with his work. By the time we met with Scott, we were pretty overwhelmed. He quickly put us at ease. He knew the work wouldn't necessarily be easy, but he'd done other jobs in our area, and he reassured us that not only could it be done, but he could do it without breaking our budget. 

From there, Scott was truly our trusted partner in bringing our dream kitchen to life. He connected us with his designer who helped us visualize the space through photo-realistic renderings. These renderings became our North star driving conversations and collaboration for the duration of the project. Throughout the process, Scott was communicative, responsive, and an all-around great guy. Despite my MANY (oh so many) questions, he always had time to talk, answer my questions, and brainstorm ideas. Even when we threw in curveballs, he would put on his problem-solver hat and make it happen. It was because of his can-do attitude that we were able to integrate a custom pedestal into our island and create a custom corner cabinet to hide all of our appliances. He really did help us bring what was in our head to life, and he did so in a way that looked effortless and made us feel like we were his most important clients.

I've worked with other contractors, and given those experiences, we were really nervous about hiring another. I am so happy we met Scott. He has earned our trust and loyalty and I am truly excited to work with him again on all of our future home improvement projects.
